Who is Lord Ganesha?
One of the most revered deities in Hinduism, Ganesha is represented with an elephant head, with four arms and one tusk. The eldest son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, he s considered to be the supreme God, the remover of obstacle, an embodiment of knowledge- arts and sciences, wisdom and prosperity.

According to Vedic (Hindu) calendar, the 4th day of Bhadrapada Maas in Hindu calendar or Shukla Chaturthi, is celebrated as Ganesha Chaturthi; marking the occasion of Lord Ganesha’s birth.
